Product Overview
This product is designed for use in vertebroplasty and other minimally invasive spinal procedures. It assists surgeons in accurately selecting the puncture entry point, making it an ideal auxiliary instrument for spinal surgery.
Key Function
• The External Skin-Adhesive Locator is used in conjunction with an X-ray machine during vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, and other routine spinal operations.
• It ensures accurate puncture positioning, reduces surgical error, and improves efficiency.
Application Procedure
1. Patient Positioning
• The patient is placed in the prone position.
• A soft pillow is positioned beneath the abdomen to maintain proper spinal alignment.
2. Locator Placement
• The locator is securely fixed onto the lumbar or dorsal region using adhesive tape.
• Stability is ensured to prevent displacement during imaging and puncture.
3. Fluoroscopic Pedicle Localization
• A C-arm X-ray machine is used to obtain an anterior–posterior and lateral fluoroscopic image.
• The pedicle location is accurately confirmed on the body surface.
4. Pedicle Marking
• The surgeon marks the pedicle projection on the patient’s skin, corresponding to the fluoroscopic image.
5. Incision Designation
• The surgical incision is made approximately 1 cm lateral to the marked pedicle position.
• Pedicle screw internal fixation or vertebroplasty can then proceed via this incision.
