Product Overview
Percutaneous (cervical/lumbar) disc cutting and aspiration involves the partial removal of herniated nucleus pulposus tissue under imaging guidance, thereby reducing intradiscal pressure. By leveraging the elastic modulus characteristics of the annulus fibrosus, this procedure helps reposition displaced disc tissue and relieve nerve compression symptoms.
Scope of Application
Clinically applicable for the treatment of:
• Disc herniation of various types
• Spinal stenosis
• Foraminal stenosis
• Disc calcification and other osseous lesions
• Discogenic pain
Instrumentation
• Puncture Needle: Used for positioning and puncturing to establish a working channel.
• Guide Wire: Provides positioning and traction.
• Dilating Tube: Expands and maintains the working channel.
• Working Cannula: Serves as the working channel for insertion, grasping, and cutting/aspiration along the puncture path.
• Trephine: Cuts the annulus fibrosus to facilitate subsequent grasping and cutting/aspiration.
• Irrigator: Flushes the disc space and aspirates residual nucleus pulposus tissue.
• Nucleus Pulposus Forceps: Directly grasps or fragments nucleus pulposus tissue to support cutting and aspiration.
