Product Features
1. Optimized blade design – Improved expansion blade shape enhances force distribution and expansion efficiency.
2. Graduated markings – Expansion indicators are displayed on both sides for clear observation during the procedure.
3. Ergonomic handle – One-piece molded, petal-shaped handle ensures a comfortable grip and long-lasting durability.
4. Smooth rotation – Specially treated rotating shaft core provides effortless and stable handwheel operation.
Application
The Bone Expansion Orthosis is designed to dilate the vertebral body, creating a hollow working cavity for filler implantation and partially restoring vertebral height.
Operation Instructions
1. Insertion
• Advance the expansion orthosis through the working cannula until the front scale line aligns with the cannula port.
• Ensure the orthosis head is fully exposed at the distal end of the cannula.
2. Expansion
• Slowly rotate the handwheel clockwise to the “2” marker for expansion.
• Rotate counterclockwise to return to the “1” position.
• Turn the handle approximately 30° and repeat the process, completing a total rotation of 180°.
• Perform in-situ expansion and retraction by rotating the handle ~30° each time, repeating the cycle at least 6 times.
Special Note
• Do not rotate the blades while expanded.
• Rotation is permitted only when the blades are fully retracted.
3. Completion
• At the end of expansion, rotate the handwheel counterclockwise back to “1”, allowing the spring piece to fully retract.
• Remove the expansion orthosis safely from the working cannula.
